FirstClass® is an extremely robust product with a host of built in features that are just waiting for creative minds to take advantage of.
One such feature is the built in server side IS Script technology. Stewart Lynch has revised the Home Page Construction Kit (HCK) once again. HCK version 3 is a custom form that will assist you in building a fully functional, robust, professional looking web site without having to know anything about html or having to use any additional software other than the FirstClass® Client. HCK is available for both Macintosh (OS X) and Windows based servers and uses no add-on technology. Virtually no javascript is used at all increasing compatibility with a wide range of browsers and versions.
The web designers (your clients) use a custom FirstClass Form to create a Web Page profile that is used for the entire site. This provides a consistent and professional look.
Features include the option of including all, some, or none of the following per page
• A choice of three different layout schemes
• Choose from 13 different colour schemes or design your own
• A button bar, selecting from 50 server buttons or use your own custom designed ones
• A navigation strip across the top and optionally repeated at the bottom of your screen
• Select from a choice of 50+ background images or use your own
• Create an optional marquee text line to bring attention to a particular feature of your web site
• A side navigation column with an unlimited number of links and sections
• A "Features" column section suitable for your main page
• Automatically include the current date on each page
• Automatically include the 'last updated' date on each page
• Include a Counter (Windows only)
