NewReg 2 is an update of the NewReg application developed by Stewart Lynch. It is a robust FirstClass administrative application that will assist in FirstClass account registrations. With NewReg 2 you can assign the task of account creation over to an individual who has no administrative rights on your FirstClass server. There are two major enhancements of NewReg 2
Overview
Multiple Organizational Grouping Configurations
 The Organizational Group feature of NewReg 2 gives you the ability to have a variety of different scenarios, each with its own specific set of configuration options for account creation.
For example, in a school district scenario you may have two different organizational groupings; Adults and Students. Within the adult groups you may have sub categories like teachers, administrators, parents, senior administrators, etc. Within the student groups you may have a variety of types of students. In each sub category, you want to assign a different set of user groups. With NewReg 2 you can have one master account creator who can create accounts for those belonging to all organizational groupings and sub categories within, or you can create a version of the NewReg application that will restrict registrations to only a particular Organizational Grouping..
Unique configuration options for each organizational grouping.
• Default UserID pattern based on a chosen number of letters from the first and last names.
• Default passwords.
• Automatic email to be sent to the new user upon account creation.
• Automatic secondary message to be sent to a secondary address chosen from a predetermined selection list, or 'on the spot" creation.
• Batch Admin script to be executed upon account creation.
• Desktop background image assignments.
• Multiple sub-categories, each with their own particular assignment of user groups.
Batch Registrations
The new Batch Registration feature of NewReg 2 will import a tab delimited text file and let you map fields in your text file to corresponding items of the account user information form. With a single click of the button, you can create FirstClass accounts for a complete set of users within a specific sub category of one or your organizational groupings. NewReg 2 will check for duplication errors and allow you to make modifications to accounts on the fly.

Shut down your FirstClass Server and run the NewReg2 setup.exe installer.
